We are a new private International School located in Jericho, Ibadan; offering the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers (up to age five)

We have exciting opportunities for confident, enthusiastic individuals with passion for learning and excellent inter-personal skills to join our team as NurseryTeaching Assistants.

Your role involves supporting children, assisting the teachers and helping to maintain the learning environment and assisting with administration. You may be required to provide ad-hoc or dedicated 1:1 support to specific children and also to provide whole-class support in lessons.

Experience and Qualification

  • Diploma in Education or NCE – Pre-Primary Education or Early Childhood and Care Education or related
  • You must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable Early Years working experience
  • Must be proficient in the use of computer
  • Excellent English Language skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
  •  You must be articulate, enthusiastic and have a passion for supporting children with all aspects of school life
  • The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers and parents
  • Creative skills such as music, dance, drama, arts and crafts are also advantageous
  • Imagination, energy and drive

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Encouraging students, assisting with learning and providing support to the class teacher inside and outside of the classroom
  • Providing support for individual pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assisting class teachers with class tasks and maintaining of student records, including observations and assessments
  • All Teaching Assistants are expected to take their share of supervisory duties outside, including lunchtime duties
  • Helping children with toileting and changing as the need arises
